When in doubt, break out the meter. That way you know what you are working with. My meter is the most valuable tool in the box!

...So I took my volt meter over to the boat and checked that Acc wire. the wire is not even getting a volt...

Would that be the RED Wire or the YELLOW Wire?

What ever it was was fixed by running new wires to the ground plate and a seperate wire directly to the battery with an inline fuse that goes to a shut off switch at the helm. Who knows what was going on with the old wires but it was probably grounding out some place.
