New (old) first boat!!

I received a 14' aluminum boat with a Johnson 18hp from my brother. He said the impellers out? He said it runs but doesn't cool itself. I have serial number and model of FD 18E and J2481074. Whats the year of this soon to be Pike Hunter? He took apart the lower unit (drivetrain) and I saw no kind of pump in there. I think a manual will tell me how to rebuild this thing. Any help from you gurus is most welcomed! Thanks

1964 here are the correct manuals, may as well get service, and parts manual, as they are not on line. http://www.outboardbooks.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=models.main&year=1964&ID=55612

i would run 24:1 fuel oil ratio using TC-W3 outboard oil. (unless the manual say differently) it is on the cusp of when they changed to 50:1 ratio.

Hey thanks for the info! Never worked on a boat before, only my dodge ram. Can't wait to get this thing fired up. Is there any seals or parts I should replace while i'm in there?
