I bought this old boat to take my grandson fishing and to have a project we could work on together, I'm told it is a 1960 era MFG Car Topper Fishing Boat. It seems to have been "customized" over the year by previous owners. Anyway I / we have started on the project and found that the transom was rotted. My son cut a new transom board to put in the fiberglass void and we are now beginning to fiberglass in the new transom.
If anyone has any info on the make and model I would appreciate hearing about it. Also any tip or tricks would also be welcome. I'm hoping we can get it lake worthy before winter gets here, I'm in N. Texas so we still have some time.

And lastly.. I found a thread elsewhere that has these pics showing an old solution of just gluing a plywood board in place... the guy removed it... then replaced and fiberglassed it in.

Thanks for the posts and pictures. That's my boat, great to see what it looked like when it was new. Hope to have it lake worthy by early October.
