So there is no water issues with the bellows I replaced, But there is a new leak and I believe it is coming from the Y pipe were it bolts to the inside transom plate.
Is this a common thing and easly fixed??
How often does the O-ring go or What could of happend
( I do realize the motor has to come out)
Thanks

2 types of leaks I have seen at the Y pipe...

1..Loose bolts
2..Flapper pin fell down and vibrated long enough to wear a hole in the aluminum Y pipe.

Or is it coming form the shift bellows?

As far as I can tell it is coming out of the bottom of the transom plate???
hoping/guessing not, but it is really hard to tell what the heck is happening down there,
anybody know any weee people that can fit in there????

Anyone else want to take a stab at this leaky issue, always like to get a couple of opinions.
Just like going to the doctor. :)

get a mirror on a stick and use a flashlight

probably the only way yer gonna see down there

fairly easy to fix, four 3/8" 12 point bolts, remove y-pipe and replace o-ring

overheat can cause the o-ring to fail, bolts loosen up over time
