Hi all! I am pretty sure my boat is a 1965, All i know about the model is it is a Star Craft... There is no plate anywhere I can find.

I have repainted the hull, rebuilt the trailer, and spent WAAAAY too much on the little Suzuki motor. But it is coming along, and when i get the interior done, it will be a nice little play-toy...

Here's some pics..

As I got her (after the MASSIVE cleaning)...

She did float though! No serious leaks!

Real nice job so far, trailers are a pain in the butt. What are your plans for the interior?

Thanks All!

Gonna replace the carpet and paint the metal bits on the interior. Then mostly just ride around. I'm tired of working on this boat, ready to play!

I will prolly mount some extra speakers under the dash, and try to create some organized storage under the seats and under the dash.

Oh, and my Dad says trim tabs are the next closest thing to God's own hand guiding you down the waterway, so those are probably on the agenda.

Very nice work! Looks like a fun boat.

I wouldn't mess with trim tabs on a boat that size.

Nice Starcraft. It's a Jet or a Jetstar if I'm not mistaken. My dad recently sold a Jetstar he had.

Re: New here... Rebuilding a boat.

Run of the mill mid '60's Holesclaw trailer. Some tilt, some do not but they all look about the same

It is a Holdsclaw. It DID tilt, but the mechanism was so sloppy I bolted it solid. Now it has none of the highway wiggle it once did. It had roller bunks too, I replaced those with a pair of beds. The rollers were too much trouble to clean/repaint, and no more than the boat weighs, I see them as a bit of overkill.
