Re: New Bowriders???
Just to throw something different in there that wasn't on your list, you might want to take a look at Yamaha's 21 footers. They're jet driven, which is "different" so some of their operating characteristics will be different than a stern drive. They are very spacious for their size, have a fantastic swim deck, very reliable engines (twins) and are easy to maintain. Not as fancy as some of the brands initially mentioned, but not spartan either. We were shopping with the same basic requirements (family of 5, tubing, recreational wakeboarding and tubing and possible future wake surfing...again recrational, not serious) and looked at boats from Monterey, Four Winns, Cobalt, Chap, Bayliner, Sea Ray and ultimately ended up buying a 2011 Yamaha SX210, which we are loving. A big differentiator for us was seating space and layout. We really like the wraparound layout of v-drive wakeboarding boats but didn't want to spend that kind of money and found that the Yamaha was the only boat we came across with that type of layout. Like I said, just something to throw into the mix. There is a Yamaha Jet Boat specific forum where you can get a TON of information, but I'm not sure whether it's kosher to link to the address from here.
