new boater need a little help please soft door question

It a 1989 hydra-sport 20ft CC I have 2 questions. First I have a door in the floor that is soft what are some ideas on how to fix this I'm fairly technical so fire away. Second is I want to brighten the boat back up do I buff it like a car or use something special. Any and all help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

is the door glassed marine plywood or all composite? pic's are most helpful! test drill to check for water intrusion

All composite no wood.

If your composites are soft you need to replace them... but that's not what composites are about, they're about never having to be replaced.

We need pictures.
