Re: New Aluminum Bass Boat Comparison

Why would anyone want to do bass fishing from an alumimum or v-hull boat? I saw a boat from a company called Mainsteam Outdoors called a TriPro. It was really a stable fishing boat that provided easy access to any size lake. It used a trimaran type hull design and was easily stored and towed. Can anyone tell me where I can purchase one? I believe with everything you need the price is around $7K

Down here in Louisiana aluminum bass boats are very common due to the stumps, logs, etc in areas some of us bass fish. A buddy of mine has a 17' Xpress with a 90HP motor and that boat was really, really nice. Very hefty and stable. We bounced that boat off of many a stump and never hurt it. It was laid out like a typical bass boat. Bug front and rear decks. Personnely, I would not own a fiberglass bass boat here. Too easy to damage them. My other buddy has a 21' Triton he has had in the shop twice for fiberglass repair due to underwater obstructions. The Xpress boats are really nice and made very well. All welded, heavy duty hardware. Just a nice boat all around.
