Need some help with a cooling hose

96/97 5.7 LX 0k158784 closed cooling

I want to replace the cooling hose for the water pump to the heat exchanger, having a hard time identifying the hose online. No local dealer) I bought a sierra 1871337 thinking I just needed to trim the end... dont look right, can anyone help with the correct part number for this hose.

Alpha drive never used a HX because of the small impeller in the lower unit so I`m guessing this HX was added. Might try a inboard application for the hose. Blue Water 5.7 ?
Or hit up a good auto parts place and compare it against their hose selection

Or just carve up the Sierra replacement....... which appears is what they did before.

I was real close and may try it, the new hose is shorter to the bend and is smaller in diameter at the point I would have to cut it.....

+1 on this...... extremely common to need to cut production hoses for low volume variations.

How would I look this up? I have no problem cutting the Sierra hose, it just looks too short and too small.... Its only 26 bucks, I just hate wasting parts if it dont work.
