Need Serial number help and year

I am trying to find out the year of my mariner 115. The serial number on the plate on the outside is hard to read but appears to be 0B342722. If that isn't correct is there someplace else it will be?

That is a good number, 1988 6 cyl 'tower of power'. Model number 7115452ND.

thanks. But now I'm confused. I thought that mercury and mariner were different.

It was built in a Mercury factory in the U.S of A, by mercury employees, using mercury machinery.

But it is a mariner.

I cannot be absolutely certain but I believe that model had no yamaha input whatsoever.
