Need help with power trim

I have a 1997 50hp Johnson, the power trim is slow and weal when tilting upward.

Once you get it up check the fluid level in the resivoir you may just be low. Good luck

Check the electrical connections to the relays and switches.

1. Raise the engine, all the way.

2. Block it up. Use anything to keep it up-SAFELY.

3. Remove the "Fill" screw on the power tilt and add fluid.

4. Cycle the system up/down. Repeat.



BE CAREFUL about cycling up/down. You can overheat the trim motor.
