Need help with part no's

I have a 40 hp mariner E69 S (serial 009200? close). Believe it to be a 1988. Have the service manual but no part numbers.

Is there a part no list for the head gasket and exhaust gasket.

It idles rough, pumping and cooling looks good....lots of water.

Took it apart and found the head gasket was in rough shape and water was seeping in.

Any assistance would be appreciated. i will be agressively looking Monday morning.....lol fishing season starts in 5 days.

I tried browsing the net and links but I get a little confused because search engines do not help much to narrow down this model.

Presuming that you meant 6E9 rather than E69, your s/n comes up as:

40 M 6E9-008626 - 6E9-009890 1988
