i just took my 4bbl rochester carb apart and did a rebuild kit cleaned it all and am about to hook it back on the motor, i never touched the idle speed screw(the one on the side) so hopefully it will be fine, the slow idle screws i put back to where they were, the left one was 2-1/2 turns out and what i found a bit strange was the right was 4-1/4 turns out (not sure if they should be the same) but motor was running fine before until something oil i think got sucked in through flame arrester,haven't addressed that yet, my fast idle screw wasn't even there, vibrated out don't know. so after all that my question is can i set these screws in my driveway w/earmuffs of do i have to be on the lake, and which do i have to be in neutral at fast/slow idle and which in forward wide open?
