Never tackled a project this bad help.
Old white house stringers are non-existant.
Do I need to split the top and bottom of the boat?
how do I determine where and what size the stringers are?
Where does the bilge pump go .....in the storage area under the engine?

It helps to identify the pics, also they seem to be too large to post here.
You can resize them in your photobukit.

Anyway, the boat is a classic, doesn't look in too bad shape.
I would love to own that one.
I wouldn't pull the top, you might need to cut the splashwell off if the transom needs redoing, or if you decide to go with composite instead of plywood it can be hogged out from the top (chainsaw straight down) and keep the splashwell intact.
Its not rocket science. Theres lots of videos on youtube showing how to do most repairs, it helps to have a visual idea.

the bilge is underneath the outboard splashwell, the lowest point.

Did it ever have any stringers? the telltale remnants should be in the hull.
What condition is the deck?

Ayuh,.... Cool lookin' little Barge,..... I like it,... How Long is it,..??

It don't look too bad up in the cabin,...
If the work is limited to the cockpit area,.. It shouldn't be Too awlful Bad,..

The bilge pump goes in the Hole in the sole, your 1st picture at the link you posted...
What's the plywood,+ 2x's in the 2nd picture,..??
The loose pieces of wood laying in the bilge are shims to support the bulkheads,...
I think it's the 3rd picture shows a bulkhead...
It looks like the bilge is only a couple of inches deep,
What's it look like under the motorwell,..??

Ayuh,... Looks like a nice easy project,.....Just depends how Fancy ya wanta get....

The transom appears to be quite solid.
The bilge outlet hose is ran to the small hole in the floor (1st pic) but that would make the bilge below the floor and transom drain.
Even though this is my 1st outboard that doesn't make sense to me.
There is one stringer in the center that will need to be replaced.

The boat is 17' long.
As near as I can tell it looks like a 1961 Venus model.
It is the only one I have ever seen.
It originally had a chrysler 90 on it.
I would like to keep it as original as possible.
I know a merc or rude would be much easier to find but easy is not always best.
Yes the cabin area doesn't look too bad ...I think the hardest part is going to be the windshield.....I think I am going to try to fabricate it myself.
The plywood and 2x's is how the last guy repaired the floor.
I have added a pic of under the motorwell.

That is one super super cool boat. Good luck with your project. I love those old Chryslers and it would be cool to see one on there.
