Need help identifying mercury 50 hp outboard engine model

hi all, I just purchased an used mercury 50 hp outboard engine and cant seem to locate the model number. the serial number sticker is no longer there so there is no real marking on the engine. But only things I can see are these stickers. can anyone help me to narrow down the year and model number? I'm attaching some images of the engine. thank you in advance for your help.

on some of these Mercs the serial number is stamped on the crankcase by the distributor pulley where the circled area is in the pic. Other newer motors have what looks like a small freeze plug with the serial number stamped on it - I'm not sure where the plug is usually located. You need the serial number to find parts for Mercs.

That would be an 81 / 82 / 83 model.-------Virtually no difference between the years.----All the same !

The serial number on my is on the freeze plug most likely to be near the spark plug (back of the motor)
here is the directory for the manual files if you would like to download all the files to your pc. just use firefox and a plugin DownThemAll or similar.
then you can get al of them downloaded with one click
