Once you get 'both' decks up, you will probably need to pull the motor to adequetely assess the transom, stringers & motor mounts. Several thousands of dollars & many hours.

Friscoboater has a couple great threads, videos, a youtube channel, all going into great detail of pulling a boat apart & putting it back together.

Also find Oops' hull extension thread, it has an index on the 1st page & has TONS of helpful info...

Many helpful threads, spend some time scanning thru some & reading a bunch.

Welcome to the dry dock @Iboats.. Best of luck w/ your project.

Be sure do absolutely everything you can to ensure the motor & outdrive are in good working order, and start looking for parts boats, or a different less totally involved project.

What started as a search for a 'good' short shaft motor has run amok in my garage & lead me to a tinny to try & get back into service this season, as apposed to maybe next season for my FireFlite (a BIG maybe). More then 5 OB motors, a parts boat, and a 2boat/1trailer deal. And another tinny just because I couldn't say no. I know, right.... And yep, the Admiral will kill me if I don't get moving on clearing out the excess stuff...

D the transom is gone bud..... I will bet the stringers and bulkheads below deck are gone also.... You have a bunch of work ahead and it won't be cheap.

I'm going to bet you'll use a least 20 gallons of resin 20 yds of csm and 20 of biax....plus all the plywood to rebuild everything.

You will need to pull the motor and drive. You will also need to remove the cap on the boat to ease in the transom rebuild.

It all can be done if you have the desire, skills and $$ My guess $2500 to $3000 in materials/supplies.

The good thing is you'll get all the help answering your questions here ;)

I had never owned a boat or worked on one....but with the help here I was able to resto my 21' Four Winns.

Good Luck on whatever you decide!
