Need advice

Looking at a 2001 Yamaha 225 four stroke. Some one put water in the gas tank while parked at a motel. Electric fuel pump was replaced. Motor will run. Should I run away?

Fuel water separator should have caught the water

If it hasnt set with water inside for a period of time, you shoukd be ok..

Totally agree, however, after the fuel separator gets saturated water will get through and shut the motor down. The water ruined the electric fuel pump.

only if it sat for a long time with water in it.
