Hey all. So I pulled the trigger and also bought a 1972 Glastron V-164 for 2k. The boat itself is super clean and the engine runs great. The previous owner had it for 10 years and his dad had it for another 38. It came with all the original manuals, repair receipts/maintenance journel, ski's, ropes, jackets, two props and last but not least a Mercruiser/Stern Repair Book.

The lakes up here are frozen so I couldn't take it out for a spin but he fired it up for the first time right in front of me and ran it for a while. I then fired it up when he brought it over and it purred then as well. The engine is amazingly clean and he definitely took extremely good care of it. I'll post some pics as well.

Wow, you just don't find classic gems like that around here. Congrats, enjoy and maintain that diamond.

I'm up in Blaine sir. However I plan on getting out and about from Coon Lake up here to the St Croix out east. I'm just itching to get this boat in the water to see how she does.

Nice boat. I hope it was on muffs when it was running.

If not, it will need at least a new impeller.

Oh yes sir absolutely was on muffs. Waited until my wife walked behind the boat to give it a first start. :)

Yes sir. I got very lucky. Spent about a notch under 4k for both and they both run and look pretty good. Also found a year round indoor storage for $50.00 a month with both boats. Feel blessed. When the wife (who knows nothing about boats and boating) says it's a good deal it just could be true. :)
