Well, got the Gambler forum up I see, now let's see how many more are out there.
1997 Gambler 209TE, 2000 ProMax 225 sitting on a 10" plate from Bob's. Fastest GPS so far is 78 with me and all my gear and 45 gallon of fuel.
I say so far because it is a new rebuilt engine and it is not broke in yet. :D
Plenty of storage and like all the newer Gamblers, plenty of front deck. Dual rod lockers, dual livewells. It was one of the top of the line boats in '97. Still is to me.
Re: My Gambler

Nice boat Spinner. How fast is she. Ever think about running her with an over the hub raker prop? Might be worth another 5/7 mph or so. Most three blade thru hub props are faster also, maybe a couple of mph. ;)

With a raker and a little exhaust work she ought to be good for 85 to 87 mph, maybe a tad more, maybe 90 when the moon gets right. Im guessing 76 to 78 now???

Re: My Gambler

hey spinnerbait, how high is your engine? i also have a 97 209 te but mine has a 97 200 pro max, running a 4 blade 25p txp prop. I can't drive it good enough to get up to full speed. so far only about 67 or so i think. my engine is way low, gotta get it raised up to try to get it faster. does yours have a little plug next to the shifter with two small holes in it? i was told its for a black light plug but i cant find one to put on my black light. thanks
