Started to remove the rub rail, the plastic came out in a million pieces, some screws came out easy, others met the vise grips or the drill. I noticed along the bottom of the cap some of the screw holes were broke out. What is the best method of repairing them. I know the obvious of fiberglass but not sure of method. This will be repaired once I pull the cap off.

looks like you have a good little project going. Can you post a photo of the screw holes you are talking about? I haven't looked for a rubber insert, mine didn't use one. When I was looking for mine, I did see a lot of the the rubber insert rails, but I'm not sure how easy it will be to find the insert. You might check here on iboats, if not I ended up getting my rail at west marine. You might check here to http://www.rubrails.com/

Ok the rain has slowed down enough to get some work done on the boat. I got the cap off of the hull (what a pain) it is currently hanging from the ceiling of the pole barn. The hull is outside covered with a tarp. I was working by myself so I couldn't take pictures. I will post pics of the progress so far.

It's going to be a rewarding project and a great boat for many years. Keep those pics and updates coming!

Hi kam just wanted to say I like your trisonic. I had one and that's what I did my first re store on. I could kick myserlf in the rear for selling it. I loved that boat but my then g.f. told me if we seel it we could get a bigger and nicer one. We did, so I sold the tri sonic that I slaved away on, and needless to say we're not together anymore AND I don't have the boat she kept it! GRRRR!!!! Took me a while to get over that one. Good luck friend & stay with it.
