Re: My favorite Democrat. ( Troll)
Forming policy based on idealogy is why we are in the mess we are in. It is akin to saying we know what the solution is before we've identified the problem. You wouldn't consider fixing anything as complicated as an outboard that way, and the problems the country faces are a heck of a lot more complicated than an outboard.

I won't debate Clinton's performance here, other than history, fairly written, I am convinced in time will prove you wrong. Your assertions that Clinton inherited this wonderful economy defy comprehension.

Do you recall the big debate in the 2000 election on how to best utilize the projected 5.6 trillion dollar surplus? Those were the days!!!

And if you complain about the "huge" tax increase under Clinton (although I'm surprised anyone noticed it as was a small increase affecting only the very top wage earners) You will be appalled at the coming increase at some point when interest rates go up, and our bonds don't look so favorable to foreign investors, and we simply cannot sustain ever increasing deficits. Those increases (or concurrent benefit cuts) will dwarf anything Clinton ever did as we try to dig our way out of this current mess.

Clinton (and his team) always took a pragmatic approach to problems--and more often than not his approach helped lessen the problems we faced.

Yes, Bill Clinton is indeed my favorite dem...There are only a few current ones I particularly like, like Joe Biden, Harold Ford, and I used to like Howard Dean before too much publicity seemed to corrupt his message--

The current crop of repubs seem to me to be mostly brain dead, with a few exceptions.
