My boat has no alternator???

I have a 1987 Celebrity Cuddy Cabin with the 165/HP 4cyl engine. There is no alternator that I can see...does this engine have a magnito or something?

Unless I am missing something, this is a standard 4 cyl I/O. Yes, it should have an alternator mounted to the engine.

If you don't see an altinator, then it's got a magnito under the crank pulley.

That model doesn't have an external alternator. It's got an internal stator. You can replace it with an external auto type of alternator using a kit that is readily available.
