Moveable deck chairs on pontoon

I'm looking for some seating options for my pontoon which doesn't have furniture.
Was thing about movable options like the temptress crappie single seat base or something along those lines that I can have in the middle for travel then place close to the front for fishing

been using folding lawn chairs on my buddys 'toon for about 30 years. nothing wrong with it.

The best, from a comfort and stability standpoint, are the plastic adirondack chairs. Tough to tip even in rough water because of their low center of gravity, and they stack nicely. A LOT of stacking/foldng chairs are just too tippy to trust with kids and seniors who may not be expecting to get pitched on to the floor unexpectedly when the captain doesn't spot a wake big enough to do that soon enough.

The ONLY problem we've experienced with the adirondack's, is getting up out of them, especially after a little too much celebrating. But then again, they're comfortable enough to just sleep it off without bothering to get up.... -Al

The filthy cleaning job should be done via a water hose, wouldn't mine at all if you're personally in command behind the hose...

Seems to me it would be MUCH simpler to avoid dumb ideas like that rather than dealing with a water hose and who would be in command.....

It would be MUCH BETTER to avoid idiotic post's answers along playing funny as you're not the one who asked about deck sitting options to start with. Let's find out what Robbor 2 has to say about your dumb idea which works fine in many applications that have seen passing by. For every bad action, there's a bad reaction....

Do you have a full fence / railing around your pontoon?

If not, I would avoid any type of moveable seating.
Wind or waves will send then over the edge.

That is what I would do place one mount on the floor in the front and one in the middle where you want it either buy two seats and post or buy one and move to the mount you want to use. I would never use a seat or let any one else on my pontoon use, that was not secured down.

I have a fence 3/4 of the deck. Just no fence on the bow

Regarding portable seating, this doesn't need to be too complicated. If you are on an inland lake or operating in relatively calm water, I can share that we've used plastic and folding lawn chairs for the last 40-50 years, with the Adirondacks found to be the best. Other folks on countless other older 'toons on our 600 acre lake are doing the same as well.

If you wanted to install some post sockets in various places I'm sure that would work as well. Personally, I'd be shy of letting anyone ride on the forward section while the boat motor was over an idle. It's not a lot different than letting people ride on the front of the boat with their feet in the water. That's an accident looking for a place to happen.

This past summer that fact was refreshed when a local girl was killed while doing that. One of here legs went through the prop. When they got to her they couldn't stop the bleeding and she died on the way to the hospital...
