alright I tried everything y’all said, rebuilt carb, checked for bad gas, put new gas in it, and adjusted choke, tried to start it and it started instantly and sounded great… for about 10 seconds and then it sputtered out again and would not start again???? Any ideas now?

Sounds like you’re not getting enough fuel. If you have not seen it running for more than 10 seconds I’d be looking at the fuel pump.

At what rpm was it running?

Should have the throttle advanced to about 1200 rpm on a cold motor til the choke starts to open

Maybe trash or water in the tank. Try using a portable tank and you may need to check the carb again...

Ayuh,..... Those are the idle relief ports,.....
The exhaust, 'n water run together before that, but depending on the lean of the boat, they can separate in the ports like you saw,.....

You have de-railed your own thread, get the carb clean and feed it with clean gas from an auxiliary tank..
