First day of Goose season ... and the local flock just keeps getting bigger every day! Saw about 150 at the old honey hole the other day! Could be a short opening day!

Maaaaan . . . I want a xMas goose so bad. We actually have honkers go through here this time of year too. A couple of the dairy farmers allow hunting, but so far I've been skunked

QC, you need to head down to the reserves near the salton sea. So many geese you'd think you were watching a Disney production.

We had 2 in the freezer left from last year ... et them at Thanksgiving! So we are gooseless, but hoping that changes on Monday! A good friend of mine lost his son (age 26) to an auto accident after an office Christmas Party on Friday night. Just got back from the memorial service ... very sad. But Dad and Brother are probably going to go with me and the other guys ... will be good to get them out of the house and we should have 20 geese not long after first light! Come on in for Christmas goose, QC!

(I hope I am not counting my geese before they are shot!)

Too bad they don't allow city hunting around here. The KCMO metro area must have thousands of them winged rats and they are full time residents. They waddle across four lane roads causing unbelievable traffic jams as everyone is afraid to hurt them, being protected and all. Honk at them and they just stand there honking back.

You want geese you can hit them with rocks here on the golf courses.

200 landed in a corn field about 100 yards from me in the field.

I don't even shoot them no more nobody wants it.

Gave it to a poor church in town.

Same with turkeys i can have all i want no fun even shooting them.

I get all my licenses for free cause im a disabled vet.

Duck stamp too for free.

About 4-5 turkey walk past me all the time in the woods big beards too.

You have to wait for a season? Down here in Misery we open season every time they land in the basin.
