Mold problems

I have a cruiser that had some water leak into the cabin. I noticed some mold and, like and idiot, but some walmart mold cleaner to remove it. Long story short, It spread it and stained the 4 foot by inch section of the fabric ceiling. Any god ideas for getting out the stains. I am about ready to have it refininshed. Also the leak has been fixed.

What type of fabric is it? Sorry, never owned a cruiser and not sure how these ceilings are constructed. Have you tried a clean rag rag dampened with soapy warm water to remove the stain and then topped off with a mold inhibitor spray?

Your lucky never owning one. More systems to break. Full-time job keeping everything working. They look so nice and you dream of sleeping in a cove with kids playing in water when you buy it and it is really kids arguing while you fix the toilet because someone threw a paper towel down it yet no one knows who.

The ceiling is cover in a similar cloth fabric as the seats, similar to an RV. The fabric cover, must likely a board and padding. I think I did a good job of killing the mold, just this nasty water/mold stain left

I'd try one of the automotive upholstery cleaners....you spray it on, use a soft brush on it, then your shop vac. I've had excellent luck taking every stain a 4 year old can come up with, including blueberries that went flying. Look for the can with the soft plastic bristle brush mounted on the cap. It goes a long way, so one can will be enough.

Oh yes...I can fully appreciate that! That's why my boat is for FISHING, and it departs at 0500 or earlier, and doesn't have a stereo.

Thanks for the help, I will try the automotive cleaner. I figure if I can get it to look OK for know, I can redo the ceiling at a latter date when it happens again. Fishing sounds peaceful!! Do you bring the cell phone?
