LOL! In a john boat?? <br /><br />Seriously Gamonman, up the road from you is a conservation lake called Hunnewell. It's a 9.9 horse lake and no wake for everyone else. Supposed to have some pretty decent bass fishing. Another lake out I-70 just about 10 miles east of Columbia is Little Dixie. Another 10 horse, no wake lake with pretty good bass fishing. You could probably try running on Mark Twain lake in the back ends of some of the bigger creek arms that have lots of timber.<br /><br />Here's the MO. Dept. of conservation's atlas website.
