Mixture adjustment screw non tamper cover

I have a 3.0 mercrusier with a 2bbl carb. This cover does move but won't come off to adjust I just see something but not a screw. Any suggestions

Seen that before. I can't remember how I got it off, but it was a bugger.

Don't I need to remove that cap somehow. The knob inside is round

Yes, the cap has to come off. I have that tool Scott6 shows, but I got mine from napa, and it has other tips that fit different applications.

So that tool removes the cap or adjusts needle afterwards. Others say cut it off

Thanks. The sad part I had it rebuilt 5 months ago and guess what not totally done. Should have been cleaned and replaced . Had some after run last year shop told me to set screw counter clockwise 1/4 turn but obviously that would never happen at the marina with this cap on. The initial setting is 1 and 1/4 turns counter from what I read. Any insight here or just clean with carb spray?
