minn kota cracked head

i have a 46 lb foot operated 12 volt, all terrain tm. the bottom half of the head cracked when i lifted it. the cracks run from the bolt holes up to the separation with the top part of the head. has anyone seen this? is it possible to fix? is it a warranty issue? i believe the motor is 4 yrs old. i was going to try and put a hose clamp around the bottom piece to stop tha cracks from under going any more stress. any input is appreciated, thanks

At four years old it is not a warranty issue. There are special cements for plastics which are available at any home improvement center. There are a couple of types of plastics which most general adhesives don't work on. Use one that actually fuses the plastic.
