Hey guys, just bought new min kota 36 v fortrex, need to change male 4 prong plug that goes on foot control, all I seem to be able to find is marinco 12/24 volt
plug, will it go the job, really do not want to burn up my new motor
You only need two terminals for 36 volts so it doesn't matter if you have a two, three, or four terminal plug. Do the series jumpering at the batteries and run the two wires up front to the existing receptacle. Then make sure the plug wiring on the motor matches that on the receptacle.
I want to thank you two for the response, sorry to take so long, been out of touch. As you can tell not much of a wiring guy. Think I am good to go now.
I do love this site lots of knowledge here.
