Milky Oily Substance

1984 Johnson 50 began to overheat. R&R’d the cooling system with new water pump, thermostat, and gaskets. Removed the head and cleaned the water jackets. Solved the overheating issue but noticed this. I want to think I’ve seen it before and hoping there’s not a head gasket leak.

Thoughts?

It looks like 2 cycle exhaust. Pretty normal. if the motor runs w/o a overheat and at full power, you are good to go.

Thanks. I haven’t put it in the water yet and run it hard but good to hear.
