Re: Milk shake in power trim system

I'm wondering if I can hook power to that pump on the bench and blow that crud out of the the pump or do I need those celinoids to run the pump. I was thinking I could hook the black to the negative post on the battery and touch the hot to the blue and green wire (not at the same time) to activat the pump and blow that crap out. Is this a good idea or is there not much crud in the pump. Can I use one of the steel lines from the gimbal housing to make a loop on the pump?.....

You can do that. Just make sure it's 1 at a time. The trim hoses outside are too small to fasten at the pump. You could just catch the oil in pan if you want. Just know it will come out pretty fast.

Just make sure you don't overfill it.
