Does anyone know what size and thread pitch this is. Merc 7.5 mid 70s flywheel nut. I was changing the recoil rope and sure enough in the lake it goes. Is this just something i can get at the hardware store? Thanks.
Why are you taking off the flywheel nut to change the recoil rope? Did you mean the nut on top of the recoil housing? That is a reverse thread - not likely to be had at the hardware store.
Yes that's what I meant and I did find one at the hardware store, 1/2 inch fine thread left hand. Now if I can just assemble the recoil , that seems to be a challenge. Thanks
