mid 50's omc needles and seats?

where do i find needles and seats for mid 50's motors? im probably looking...and missing something, but gasket sets, floats, and float needles are easy to find here on iboats, but high and low speed needles and seats dont seem to be there? (should i upgrade my reading glasses? lol)

The needles themselves are hard to find. Are you sure you need them? I have never replaced one in my life and have done lotsa engines. The packing nuts that hold them snug are easy to get. If you really need the needles I'd try a used place. Several are listed up top in the top secret thread.

not 100% sure i need them, but would like to find a source to get them, i have other oldies with the needles that have been cranked in tight....over their 60 year life, and have signs of ridges and marks, maybe i could use valve grinding compound and reseat them, just thought if they could be picked up new it would be a better option.

If you are lucky enough to have a lathe, chuck them up and re-point them. Second best is chuck them in a drill chuck and repoint it with a file as it rotates.

Like Samo, I've repaired literly thousands of carburetors and have only replaced needles if severely damaged or missing.
