MFG restore/information

Hello everyone, I am looking into restoring my father's older MFG boat. It has been sitting in the yard on the trailer for very long time and I would like to get it back on the water. It is very hard for me to find out what model it is. My father says it's from 1958. The tag is barely still readable on the back. Its says T9 3447. I can't seem to find any information with the 3447. My estimated guess of model would be a corry suburban. Can you help me identify this boat please. Would a restore be worth the money and work? Thank you very much!

Hard to say about restoration without seeing anything, but as a general rule ... it's just gotta' be worth it to you. Don't expect to make money on the boat. If you're into the work, like the idea and think you'll be proud to be runnin' your dad's ole' boat ... then, go for it!

Have you looked around HERE? I'm thinking you're looking at the serial number, which back then coulda' meant anything.

HERE is a tutorial on photos. Linking them over may save you some time.

Lotsa' work to get her on the water again, but it's also probably a pretty easy hull to work on. You'll need to be in it 'cuz ya' wanna'. Glass boats like that were a dime a dozen, and the market for "vintage" boats isn't anything like vintage cars. But the "cool" points on the lake can be fun.

Look through those boats in the link I posted earlier, but look up in the early 60s. Styling looks more like a 60s boat to me, and I think the rounded corners on the hull (stern) show up in that early 60s era.

Looks like my fathers old MFG before I drug it out of the woods ... I'm thinking early 60's Corry also ...
If you are going to restore her you should start a thread over in the restoration section or have a mod move it there ... Lots of good info and members here to help if ya need it ..

Fix it up, you'll end up with a special little boat. Research the history of MFG and you'll find they were 'once' a great company. I love my little old MFG boat

Hello! Did some work on the boat today. Not knowing much about this boat I got down to the transom and saw every inch of wood was rotted or gone of the transom. Now just digging up information on what would be next for the transom repair. I am looking into the prep before the poured transom. Any help or advice will be great!
