I have a mercury 65hp outboard I was wondering what year it would be ?Serial# is 30772477, also it has thunderbolt ignition what year did that type of ignition come out ? thanks all.

There is one too many numbers in your s/n but if the beginning is correct, it would be:

65 650 (R4) 4-cyl 2997339 3293183 1971 USA
