It's been some time since I've been on,
A friend bought a new 2009 Merc.4 stroke 5hp last year. This man has less than 15hr on his new outboard.As of today, he has had a bad running motor.
1st, Mercury said he had ran old gas in the outboard. The gas was 3 days old? Next, Mercury (Bradenton FL.) said it was the less than 10% corn in the fule. Mercury rebuilt his carb for $300.00. Now Mercury said he overheated his outboard,( this outboard has early warning, never heated it) needs a new impeller and housing for $186.00.
I went today with my friend to talk to Mercury, this rep. could not give me a clear awnser. The best part is the Mng. would not come out to talk???
I'm drafting a letter to Mercury...or M.F.U. I feel this is wrong,at every level.
