Mercury 86/87 200hp Lazer XRI

My question is, what dose "LASER XRI" stand for? Is it a high proformance motor or what?<br />Cheers.

rich, was mercs first designation for fuel injection, that's all....first motors were the 220 lazers, were only an honest 200 hp, just like the carb models.......

trent, only company i work for is my own [and partners].........sorry to say, Garvis doesn't ring a bell...
