I have an 1988 merc. 50hp 0B286802 it has a cylinder or cylinders dropping out when it is cold. After warming up it runs fine. I had a local shop check carbs. They said carbs were a little dirty and replaced the needle and seat in both but they also said that it needed a new switch box. I haven't had the work done, don't know whether I should get a second opinion. I would think if is electrical it should work fine when it is cold and act up when it warms up. Just wanted to see if anyone has had similar problems.
