Hey I'm lost.

I have a side mount console, 50hp merc (2002), wont crank.

I have done the following:
1. Checked all fuses in main fuse box. (3 x 20, 1 x 25 A)
2. Disconnected lanyard kill switch
3. Tested batteries, checked cables

When I turn key on I hear a slight noise (pump running)
Tilt/trim has power at contoller

When I go to crank..... Nothing

Wiggle the throttle handle (R-N-F), while holding the key in the start position. Sometimes the neutral safety switch can stick.

Thx Chris - already moved throttle handle in and out of neutral... could it be the switch itself? If so how can I check it?

Gee, I never saw one break.

They are located inside the MerControl. A lug on the MerControl linkage closes the switch, allowing them to connect power to the starter solenoid, when in neutral. Maybe a wire to them broke?
