I have a Mercury 40hp 2 stroke 2 cyl 2002 white 100 hours.
Last year appeared rust in the superior spark, ?corrosion? in cylinder block (photo) and some salt in the interior of the top cowl.
For me the engine is ok (in the last year)!!!
This year, I won?t to use de boat again, and I have changed the pieces and oils of a 100 hours revision (the other revisions in mercury). But these problems are boring me and I need start the engine to finish the revision.
Is better go to my mercury mechanic?
