My IL6 had a block part number near the crankcase seam on the transfer port side. If that motor has one, and you can find the old parts diagrams, maybe you can match it up.

Do a complete evaluation of this motor BEFORE you start buying parts !-----Remove the bypass covers and inspect pistons and rings.----These motors did not have an overheat warning buzzer.-----They do not have overheat shutdown feature.----It is possible to have scored pistons / rings.

@jimmbo it has normal plugs in it now. I also bought it off of ksl(like a craiglist but for Utah Idaho Wyoming only) anyway and I traded for it. The item I trade it for was only worth 250$ so really I'm not that much into it now. But long story short no receipt. Also only reason I agreed about it being hot is because the steering cable was cut and so was the main power cables that plug into the side of the engine.
@Chris1956 I'll look when I get home from work. It does say tiger on the side of the engine and there are numbers stamped all over it so I'm sure one is a part number.
@racerone I will definitely tear it down before I start buying parts for it. Only thing I have started to buy right now is wiring because I get it for like 5¢ a foot from my work.

I believe the cowling shown in post #19 is clearly a 1965 version.
The wrap is 65, the lower trim cover 76/77, the cowl front cover 68-71, gearcase post-78.
Odds are that it is likely a 1965, but ...
