mercury 115 4 stroke weight

i currently have a 1985 merc 115 tower of power which gives me nothing but problems and i want to upgrade. the current 115 is the perfect size for my boat, but 4 strokes are obviously alot heavier. how much does a 2004 mercury 115 four stroke weight? i can score one with all the controls for a crazy cheap price, but im worried its going to be gigantic on the back of my 17 footer.

From what I can tell, your Tower of Power weighs about 315 pounds and the 4 stroke will weigh about 35lbs more.

Your boat cannot handle that much weight, so tell me where it is and I will go get it so that you are not tempted.

i think that screen shot is a 2004 two stroke. anyway, where are you from? if i dont get the motor ill surely pass on the offer.

You are right, I wasn't looking down far enough on the list. Looks like closer to 400 lbs for the 4 stroke.

I was just joking about me buying it. Good luck with the decision. below is the 4 stroke weights.
