Mercruser 3.0 engine and outdrive help

I just bought a 1991 spectrum bluefin boat with a merc 3.0 engine with a alpha 1 outdrive. When the boat is running the trim keeps falling down without touching the trim button. I notice that while running the speed of the boat slows down then i trim up and the boat picks up to the spped it was running. What would cause the trim to keep falling on its own? Also the motor will not go completly down while on the trailer so how can I change the sterndrive oil if the anti-ventilation plate is not level as the manual states? thanks

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard,....
The trim dropping could be either the pump, or the rams leaking internally...

Lower the tongue of the trailer to clearance the outdrive....

Will the boat be to heavey to pick back up if I lower the tounge to the ground? It is a 20.5 ft alum boat. It has a wheel in the front tounge area but when this is lowered all the way down it is still to high to let the engine down. Also what would be the approx cost to have the trim falling problem looked at and fixed by a marina? Thanks

Place a floor jack in the center of the back most cross bracw of the trailer and jack her up and place jack stands under it use wood blocks to help get the right hieght make sure you block the swivle wheel on ther jack stand!
