hello i just wondering what is the point of this part any ideas?maybe just for support?
maybe just to give a place to mount blue drain plug? thanks just curios. wile vonverting my boat to closed cooling it just seamed like more potential fail points

its a tube that can be swapped for an oil cooler. it also mounts a drain line.

its a low point and needs a drain for freeze protection
