I just had my 2007 Mercruiser Bravo One outdrive serviced (bellows, gimble bearing, etc) and found this little 1/4" tube that's not connected to anything. Any idea what is this for? Is this the speedometer tube?

Yes it’s for the speedometer tube.

Is one end connected to the stern drive still but not running up towards the bow?

The drive end should have a yellow plastic fitting that you have to give a quarter turn to R&R it….

Thanks. It looks like they forgot to re-attach it to that little yellow connector on the drive. It looks like something I can just zip-tie to the yellow connector?

Can if you’d like to or if the connection seems loose fitting but often not needed as the fitting is a hose barb type fitting that holds it together relatively tight that or maybe if your boat runs 100+.🚤
