I have a 1996 Bayliner with a 7.4 engine and Bravo II drive. When coming in I hit a wake and prop came out of water, & engine reved up. I throtled back and got forward movement. From that point on when I would get up to about 3000 RPM, it would seem my prop would slip or drive would jump out of gear. When I would pull back on throtle and then increase speed it would perform fine until 3000 RPM when it would do thw same thing. Any Ideas? Thanks, Ron

Perhaps your shiftcable adjustment might be the probem. It might be worth going through the adjustment procedure to make sure that is not the problem.

Yep, and I'll add to that to check for some obstruction ahead of the prop. maybe like a stick jammed in there.

Odd for a prop to come out of the water due to hitting a wake, though. Don't you think?
