Mercruiser all in one shift handle

Hey all. Need help and can't find any info. I have a 1980 webbcraft with the "all in one" handle with no box. I am trying to remove the shifter handle to remove the panel. It is the control with the neutral button right in the center of the bottom of the handle. Any help would be appreciated.

I found the problem, the previous owner broke off the allen screw so part of it was still in there. There isn't a screw on this boat he didn't strip, rails and tie downs included. Can't wait to see what he screwed up in the motor.
