All you'll get from the scanner is engine hours. That is a 4.3TKS (Turn Key Start). It has a 2 barrel carb, and Thunderbolt V electronic ignition. Other than that, it's just an engine.

What's the problem?

its a carbureted 4.3 with a TKS carb. you have to put your scanner on the shelf and rely on simply mechanical trouble shooting.

thanks for the quick responses... that is what i had heard(only hours). last time the boat started up it shut off after about a minute. there was a "smoke" comming out of the compartment and an electrical burnt smell. i ended up finding a blown fuse that leads to the temp sensor in the engine block. when i put a new fuse in there was a mechanical sound and then the fuse popped. a closer look at the temp sensor showed melted wires and after unplugging it and putting a new fuse in there was no pop or noise as b4 but the key does nothing in ignition and now power at gauges. im sure i will find somthing after a closer look but any ideas? also since there is no way to see faults, im assuming it is a pattern of the horn that will tell you the issue?

Fuse behind the dash now has gone, and the most likely cause of all this grief is the diode in the TKS circuit...

Yes 25 is the correct manual for the motor, need 41 for the TKS carb, and can find that at boatinfo
