Hello, i have a small oval shaped flange on my engine block that has two holes in it next to the carburetor, and I can't find a diagram that shows it. I have a picture of it but I get a forum error message that says "the upload failed b/c the file could not be written to the server. The site administrator will need to resolve this before any files can be uploaded".

What year is your engine and what Carburetor model do you have?

Are you able to see the part area in question within the following website?

Some carburetors have a choke system that use exhaust gas heat to choke the carb and that oval thing you see is where it connects. You can just install an electric choke on your carburetor and ignore the thing. The oval thing has the "Choke Stove" which is just a piece of tubing. It should have a part connecting it to the carburetor choke It transports hot air to activate /de-activate the choke .
